I usually bring 3 lenses with me on senior shoots. The 50mm 1.2L, 70-200mm 2.8L and the 16-35mm 2.8L. I used to use the 50mm about 80% of the time however I find myself reaching more and more for the 70-200. I just LOVE the 80-100mm focal range. There is an article on MCPactions.com here that shows a comparison of ideal focal lengths for portraits that is just great. As much as I love the 70-200, I tested out the 85mm 1.2L recently and can’t wait to get my hands on it again! For the shot on the bridge with the skyline, I used the 16-35mm (which I rarely use) however for something like that, no other lens would do!
